Watching the play with an audience, I was
struck less by the audience reaction to the content of the play, and more to the effect that certain technical
aspects of your production was having on them. Most importantly, with the audience I suddenly noticed how
unvaried the rhythm and tempo were, and how this had a hypnotic effect on the audience.
